Cheers from León! I finally did get to buy my donkey in Somoto, and started traveling with her on 21 Dec. Two days ago, on 27 Dec., I sold her again, in San Juan del Rio Coco (it was quite funny, I asked the first random guy in town who I saw riding a horse: “Hola Señor, how are you? Would you like to buy a donkey?” – he bought her straight away!) It was a very nice trip; thank you very much for your tips; the region is indeed beautiful, and the people very nice. When I first wrote to you, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do this thing maybe in Honduras or Guatemala, although Nicaragua was the most likely candidate for me; anyway, I wrote to several tour companies and guide books for information, but you were actually the only one who wrote back with helpful information, I appreciate that very much!
