Some visitors to our site write us to say, “where are the tour costs?”, “hey, can’t find the rates!” Although we are aware that some travelers want to compare prices before making contact, we don’t publish our rates anywhere on our web site.

The reason is… that we need to know a few variables in advance in order to quote your potential visit to Nicaragua with us.

Please help us when you ask for rates with a few details: When do you plan to travel? If not target dates, then month? Or at least the year you plan to visit. Since we only offer private tours, the per person cost of each trip depends on the number of people you plan to visit with.

Methods of Payment

Most families and small group payments are made with credit cards. We accept both MasterCard and Visa and send a form to be completed for either card (please specify which you will use). That form may be returned via e-mail or fax.

For groups of 12 or more payments to Tours Nicaragua are normally made via bank wire transfer with client paying the sending fees and our company paying transfer receiving fees.

Payment Terms

A deposit of 50% of the total trip cost is required to guarantee reservations and services upon acceptance of proposed Itinerary. Balance is due 40 days prior to the start date of the tour. Any trips reserved less than 40 days prior to arrival must make full payment to confirm services.

Cancellations & Refunds

If a client has to cancel a planned tour we do everything possible to return as much of your deposit as possible. Nevertheless, guaranteeing services and hotel space often requires non-refundable deposits. So while we work with clients on a case by case basis to refund the most possible, we are bound by following cancellation policy.

Cancellation policy

Notice of any tour cancellation must be sent in writing and noted as received by one of our staff. Amount of refund depends on cancellation date in relation to your arrival date.
14 days or more prior to the start date of the scheduled trip, the refund is 85% less any non-refundable hotel deposits. 13-7 days prior to the start date of the trip; there is a 50% refund, minus hotel deposits. 6 days or less to the start date of the trip, there are no refunds

Important note on Low Season payment and cancellation terms: High Season payment and cancellation terms apply to all trips, any time of year, that include Jicaro Island, Morgan’s Rock, Mukul Resort and Rio Indio Lodge. Low season payment and cancelation terms apply only to tours that do not include Jicaro Island, Morgan’s Rock, Mukul Resort and Rio Indio Lodge
