There are many ways to get to Nicaragua. Since most of our customers are from the U.S., the U.K. and Canada I will focus on those flights.

There are no direct flights from the Europe or Canada. Much of the traffic flight coming to Nicaragua comes through 4 hubs located in the southern part of the United States; Miami Houston, Atlanta and Los Angeles although there are some exceptions.

Nicaragua Tourism on the rise – the mainstream press has named  Nicaragua as one of the 3 top destinations in the world.

The Lonely Planet Oct 2013 story about the 10 best value destinations lists Nicaragua in third place. Nicaragua tourism is on the rise.  The article describes Nicaragua as: “…an A-grade Central American attraction in itself, from brooding Volcán Concepción to the dreamlike experience of floating down the Río San Juan.” Tours Nicaragua has been saying this since our General Manager, Richard Leonardi wrote the first major guidebook on Nicaragua in 2001 (Footprint Nicaragua, England), and we are happy to have Lonely Planet on board.

Although Tours Nicaragua is a 100% Nicaraguan company, it is owned and operated by Yanks. This means we serve a lot of North Americans on their holidays to Nicaragua. However, since we founded the company, Tours Nicaragua has had the pleasure to plan and operate numerous tours for Brits. In fact many of the Nicaragua holidays we offer have been modified by suggestions and requests of the British public.

Many newly married couples looking for a unique warm weather experience are now considering a Nicaragua Honeymoon. The Boston Globe, Lonely Planet and New York Times have recently included Nicaragua in their top ten places to visit in the world and newlyweds seem to agree.

It also appears that few want to spend their honeymoon just lying around. Relaxation, warm water experiences still dominate honeymoon vacation packages, but more and more new couples want to have some fun.
