This family owned ecolodge is located on one of the prettiest parts of the Isla Zapatera Nation Park’s coastline in Lake Nicaragua. Zapatera Island, Lake Nicaragua’s second largest island. The Santa María Ecolodge has a tiny spa, 7 rooms with private bath and fan, the El Jaguar Bar and dining room. It also has volleyball and is a great base for our hiking trips, archaeological tours and just relaxing. The ecolodge is staffed by island natives and the kitchen features Nicaraguan food that utilizes all the fresh ingredients that makes Nicaragua the best eating experience in Central America.
