La Bastilla Ecolodge, located inside a shade coffee plantation on the edge of the Datanlí Nature Reserve in Jinotega. These tasteful wooden and brick cabins are simple, yet comfortable with great water pressure and hot showers in their private baths. The cabins feature all wooden decks with great views and birdwatching. The complex restaurant is an excellent spot for birdwatching and just relaxing with home cooked meals served to order by tourism student staff. Very laid back and one of the best birdwatching experiences in Nicaragua’s northern mountains.
